Girls Soccer Opens With Tough Loss to Brecksville
The
Midpark Girls Varsity soccer team suffered an 8-0 loss at home on
Wednesday afternoon to start their regular and conference season.
The Bees, one of the top teams in the area, jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and never looked back.
The Girls JV soccer team earned a 5-1 win in a solid showing over the
Bees earlier in the day. Midpark got three goals in the first ten
minutes of play. Sophomores Amanda Morgano and Kendyl Cerny both scored
and junior Alyssa Kucera added the third goal.
Morgano added her second goal of the game in the second half and Cerny
got her second on a penalty kick for the final Midpark score.
The Varsity team will host Valley Forge on Saturday afternoon at Big Creek at noon.
