Head Varsity Coach: Stephanie Mentz

Stephanie T. Mentz is entering her 11th high school basketball season as a coach, and fifth year at the helm of the Midpark Meteors Girls Program.

Coach Mentz began her career at Midpark as a Varsity Assistant to then head coach, Jaime Schulke, for one season. Hathaway Brown and Saint Augustine Academy round out previous schools.
In 2009-10, Mentz led the Meteors to their first Southwestern Conference Crown with a 13-1 conference record and 17-5 overall. The Meteors lost to Magnificat in the Distric Semifinals. During the 2009-10 season, Midpark set 10 team/individual records. Stephanie was named SWC Coach of the Year as well as Division I Northeast District Co-Coach of the Year.
Stephanie has served as a Lorain County Commissioner for the Cleveland CYO as well as a member of the Athletic Advisory Council.
Personal: Stephanie is also the girls golf coach at Midpark High School. Enjoys cooking, golfing, and watching football.
Varsity Assistant Coach: Jim Heuer
Coach Heuer is entering his ninth season as an assistant coach with the Meteors.

He played basketball in high school in Michigan before the 3-point line.
Coach Heuer has not received a technical foul during the regular season during his tenure and therefre have not been forced to buy dinner for the head coach for the rest of the season. Coach Heuer looks forward to the upcoming season and building on the success of last season.
Personal: Married to Marry Frances with one child, Jackson.
Varsity Assistant Coach: Jen Arnold
Jen is entering her first season with the Midpark Girls basketball program and sixth year overall. A 2001 graduate of Nordonia High School, Arnold still holds 12 school records including most career points. She received a full athletic scholarship to the University of Akron where she played from 2001 through 2005. Last year, Arnold was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Nordonia.
Arnold is also the Varsity softball coach at Nordonia and also coaches two AAU basketball teams with SMAC.
Personal: Still enjoys playing in various leagues across the area, works as a supervisor for UPS and is planning on returning to school to finish her degree in education.
JV Coach: Brandon Stewart
Brandon is in entering his third season as a coach with the Midpark Girls basketball program, and first at the JV level. The previous two seasons, he spent coaching the freshmen squads.
Last season, the freshmen team went 15-5 and captured both the regular season and tournament championships in the SWC. The Meteors defeated Avon Lake in the final game of the tournament.
Stewart graduated from Midpark High School in 2000. After Midpark he went onto Mount Union College where he graduated in 2005 with a degree in Sport Management. He also coaches an 8th grade AAU team in the spring.
JV Coach: Deb Barb
Coach Osborne will be entering her first season as a basketball coach on the Midpark staff, but is no stranger to Midpark athletics.
A 2009 graduate of Baldwin Wallace, Osborne was a four-year letter winner as a member of the Yellow Jackets Track & Field Team as a hurdler, she has worked as a hurdling coach for the Meteors Track team the last two seasons.
Aside from coaching track, she will be entering her second season as the volleyball coach at Ford Middle School. She also spent one season coaching volleyball at Roehm Middle School.
